Shandong and Xiamen Airlines add Thai flights‏

Shandong Airlines, partly owned by Air China, will launch a host of new flights to Thailand from 25 October.

The carrier will launch two daily flights to the southern resort island of Phuket, its third destination in Thailand following Bangkok and Chiang Mai.

One of the flights operates from Ji’nan, the capital of Shandong province, via Changsha, the capital of Hunan province. The other runs from the port city of Qingdao, via Xiamen.

Xiamen Airlines will also launch a new daily flight to Bangkok direct from Xiamen, the carrier’s first international service in Xiamen.

Shandong Airlines will deploy its Boeing 738 jets on these routes.
